This week we had a few authors come in. We had Francis La Bounte she came in and talked about the date palm. We also had mr. Peter J. Murray he talked about his new book and his past books  called Mokee Joe. We also had julia johnson come and talk about her books her most popular book was the leapord boy. We also had book worm in the end we raised 60,000 dhs. The school now gets 5000 dhs. to buy new libary books.We had a character parade we all wore costumes and they were all lovely.

Reading revalution was one of the busiest times in year5. We have been learning about outstanding authors like Peter .Murray, Francis la Boute and Julia Johnson . My favourite author was Peter J.Murray. He wrote Mokee joe which was a masive selling book . Unfortunately, we had to learn the ginger bread story in different types of languages. Amazed, this week has been awesome (Reading Revolution Week). My favorite author was definitely the one and only Peter J. Murray. He was hilarious and a great joke teller. However he wasn't good at school when he was younger, the thing is that he didn't want to be a writer. He wanted to be a football player however he was not good enough and he could not do his exams. When Peter J. Murray was 30  he past his exams and became a teacher and one day his neice came and she remembered the game Mokee Joe so Peter wrote a story about it and that's when he started writing.

Reading Revoltion by josh

What I enjoyed about reading revolition week was the authors coming and my favorite one was Peter J Merri because he made us laugh and he kept going into the good part and you know what he kept saying' you've got to read the book!!' Another thing was the gingerbread man. I didn't enjoy it a lot in English but I liked it in Arabic, don't know why? Last thing before I finish this off is the book worm. When it was year5s turn to go down stairs I bought nothing you know why I forgot my money.

This week we have been doing book worm surprisingly they earnt 60,000AED.
Furtheremore we had sports day it was very exicting but I did not win a thing.

We are practising the gingerbread man and we made our own wonderful stories. My story is about a rare dragon that everybody wants to catch. Also, three authors came in, one of them was named PeterJ.Murray. He is an amazing man therefore he persauded me to become an author. I am going to buy some books of his called Monkee Joe .However we had anothere author called Francis la Bonte she taught me about a female palm tree and  male plam tree. A male has the seeds to grow. A female then gets the dates.Then the last author called Julia Johnson taught me that the Arabain leopard is nearly extnict so we dont kill animals we might be the boss but we dont have to kill nature.

This week we had several authors. However my favourite author was Peter J Murray because he told year 5, 6 and 4 about how he got his career also how he got his ideas. Surprisingly, he based the setting on places he has been. Luckily, he mentioned if you buy his first three books about Mokee Joe, he would take fifteen dirhams off.

This week is one of my favorate week because this week is book week. I like it because I can buy my favourite books. My favourate books this speciel week is always a mistery but lotes of kids would like diferent book.

To day i woke up early in the morning. I was so exited to see different costumes.
 Before that we had some authors that came to our school. Some were funny and some were boring. Later on after that we had book worm and the school made a lot of money!

Book week

During book week we have been spoken to by three different authors their names were Francis la Bonte, Peter J Murray and Julia Johnson. They have each sold best selling books such as mokee joe, the pearl divers and the date palm. We have also have had bookworm which has allowed us to buy books. We like and read them at home or at school. In Arabic we have been learning how to say and learn the story of the gingerbread man in Arabic off by heart. All year five has been writing our own version of the gingerbread man and most of them are on display or you could also say published.

REVOLUTION WEEK

This week (revolution week) was awsome, my favourite part was to meet Peter J. Murray (he wrote mokee joe) he is so funny he also does a good and funny american accent. My least favourite thing is practising the gingerbread man in Arabic, boring!

We have learnt that a wind house makes aircon and it is so cold you can make icecream (Francis la Bonte told us this as she is an author).

By the way today, Paris is dressed as Mokee Joe and kylah is Hermione (from Harry Potter).
